    Windows 7 Ultimate BSOD

    Hello,

I'm gotten a couple of BSOD's with Windows 7 Ultimate and I tried to use debugging tools to try and figure out the cause and it appears to be pointing to ntoskrnl.exe. I'm somewhat skeptical on that one and would like to see if anyone can help me out. Attached are the dmp files from Minidump directory.

    Thanks in advance!

both dumps involve ntoskrnl.exe, and Trend Micro's tmlwf.sys. To narrow it to which came first you could dis able trend micro just to see if the blue screens go away.

I dont have a true debugger so this is just preliminary. Someone with one will take a look and give you some more conclusive info

    Hope this helps

Trend claims that Trend Personal Firewall conflicts with Windows Firewall. I removed the Trend Personal Firewall by deleting the files associated with it, disabling the service, and uninstalling the driver attached to the NIC properties. We'll see if this resolved my BSOD issues. I'll report back in a few days since the BSOD happened usually after a few days or so (twice) since running Windows 7. Hopefully this helps someone else out.
