    OK ... you do it.

Actually my (and of some others I know) modus operandi is different. It does not match with my view does not necessarily mean that the view is wrong. There must be some alternative ways to attain a same goal. It is just that the way is unknown to me. It is lack of my knowledge and experience, not your.

What we do is, try to find out the reason behind the crash. And for that we do some alterations in the software environment, some hardware check, etc. I wish your way will be proved as a successful one, and one day we all will follow it.

Best of luck. To both of you... you and thePhan.

I just checked my e-mail and found a bunch of notices of activity on this thread, so I read through them to see if I can help.

I see something that I didn't see the first time I responded, and that was that you reformatted your hard driver and installed Windows 7 from a clean install. Why did you do that?

You didn't say what kind of computer/laptop it is, but my bet is that when you bought it, it's new enough that it didn't come with a package of installation CDs. If that is the case, then you may be in luck--provided that you didn't format ALL of the partitions.

There should be a hidden partition that is your recovery partition. This will restore your computer EXACTLY as it was when it came out of the box. So before you do what I'm going to instruct you, you should backup all of your data files before you do this, because if you still have them on the C: drive, you'll lose them when the recovery is done.

What you need to do is to go to your manufacturer's website, and download a User's Manual. Then you need to look for a section--probably in the back of the manual--that talks about Restoring Factory Recovery Settings. On my Acer laptop (and on Gateway laptops), it's called eRecovery. Then you need to find out what hot keys to use to activate that hidden partition during startup. On my Acer Laptop, I need to press <Alt> + <F10> at startup, but on my son's ASUS laptop, I think it's <Ctrl> + <F9>, so it varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, and on a Dell that I helped someone with just yesterday, you start it by pressing F8 at startup, but instead of using it to start Safe Mode, you look for the option to recover the computer, and start it from there.

Once you do that Factory Recovery, you shouldn't have any BSOD anymore, and everything -- all the drivers -- will already be installed for you and the laptop will be ready to go. It'll be just like new.
I assembled my computer together 4 years ago, it's not a laptop.
So it didnt have windows on it to begin with. I thought i quoted you on one of my posts i guess it didnt go up

I have not done the disk checks yet but I've done the 24 hour verifier test. I'm still getting BSOD it has decreased ever since I changed Anti viruses though.

How do i do a disk check?

Haven't you had any crash during verifier? You need to upload those.

    Disc check:

    1. Reseat the sata and power.
    2. Run chkdsk /f/r, following the option two of the tutorial Disk Check
    3. Seatool for dos: SeaTools | Seagate download
Burn it in a blank cd. boot from the CD, click on "Accept", wait for it to finish detecting the drives, then in the upper left corner select "Basic Tests", then select "Long Test" and let it run.

Reseat is first open the plugs, then put them in place again.

If you dont have a cd drive, you can make a bootable USB stick.

And, post the dumps in your next post, I missed them.
