ntoskrnl.exe BSOD's contstantly

Hi guys,

hopefully someone can help with this, since the 22nd/24th October my machine refuses to boot to windows. i have checked using "Whocrashed" so i could read the .dmp files and it shows that "ntoskrnl.exe" and "Apc index mismatch" seem to be the root causes.

I have tried a system restore in safe mod and this fails before completion, i have also ran "chkdsk" which returns no errors or bad sectors. However the memory diagnostic tool reports a hardware failure, bearing that in mind i have removed in turn each RAM module and tried booting and the computer just hangs.

i have run the SF diagnostic tool and hope that i have attached it correctly.

If you have any questions please let me know.

thank you in advance (Sorry for the long post)

Russ

Hey KoolKat77,

Thanks for the help, i have some feedback already.

When i try to run the sptd.sys "uninstaller" it tells me there is "No SPTD version detected" and the only button i can click is Install, which prompts for a reboot. After a reboot i get 4-5 bsod's before i can boot to safe mode again.

Also when using the REVO uninstaller, when i am unable to locate a Deamon tools install, and also when i select Comodo to uninstall the REVO software tells me i cannot uninstall in safemode.

Thanks again

Russ

If Daemon is uninstalled from control panel, no stpd is there, its okay.

Follow Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup and then try booting to normal mode.

I should also mention that when i run SFC it stops at 18% and 2 out of 3 times bsod's or tells me "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation"

I have yet to try the steps for a clean startup.

Hi Koolkat77,

I tried the clean startup and everything was fine for 3-4 minutes then bsod again.

I've sinced rebooted a couple of times and it's back to bsod'ing as soon as i hit the desktop.

I really appreciate the help btw.

Can you tell us the age of all the hardware of the computer and when you last performed a clean install on it?

I purchased it in 2007 direct from Dell, it came with XP. I purchased new RAM and a 1Tb WD hard drive through Dell last christmas and also upgraded the OS to Win7 x64.

I did a full clean about 9 months ago, I've had no problems since then until the 24th of October.
