BSOD 'driver power state failure' on shutting down

Hi all, I am hoping someone can help me fix this BSOD problem without having to return my laptop. I started having this error when I first bought my laptop a few months ago (Lenovo G770) and reinstalling Windows didn't fix it. I thought it was to do with switchable graphics as I was having problems with that, but after several driver updates I'm still getting the problem.

Basically about half of the time my computer freezes on shut down, if I leave it long enough (5-10 mins) I get a blue screen with 'DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE'. Caused by address 'ntoskrnl.exe+7efc0' bug check code '0x0000009f'.

I attached the report made from SF Diagnostic tool, would be grateful if someone has the time to look at this. If any more info is needed I am happy to provide it.

Thankyou

Thanks for the info koolkat, that's really odd...the C-Media USB audio isn't mentioned as a program or as an audio device in device manager. I use an Asus U1 USB sound card which is listed in device manager but I've never heard of C-Media.

Do you know of any other way of uninstalling it as I can't find it?

EDIT: My mistake, C-Media is listed in the driver details for my Asus sound card, so I guess that's the problem driver. I'm pretty sure I have installed the most recent driver for that device though :/

You should disable it and see if the BSOD happens again.
