    Nightmares with 0x0000007b Error

    Hi,

nooby on this forum and I'm very desperate for help.

I have installed Windows 7 dual boot with Windows XP w xp is first install.
Every think worked smoothly until a few Trojan Viruses got hold of my PC, now the viruses are gone And I'm left with a faulty boot, I have 3 sata hdd
one for Windows XP partitioned for data one for Windows 7 and the other for Games, I'm running W XP professional and W 7rc Ultimate.

    Now to the problem!
I was able to repair W 7 boot by using EasyBCD installed in W 7 by following instructions found on this forum but booting back to Windows XP I get this
    Error:

"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.
If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:
Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check your hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.

    Technical Information:
    *** STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF7c7E63C, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)".

The only way I can access Windows XP is to pull the data and power from the other 2 HDD then it boot happily to XP.

    mobo gigabyte 965P-DS3/S3
    pcu Intel E6600 core 2 Duo 2.4GB
    memory 3GB Kingston

More details if requested, if anybody can help it'll be most appreciated. :)

    Nightmares with 0x0000007b Error: SOLVED

After days trying to fix my Windows XP / Windows 7 dual boot problem
I finally decided to do a full reinstall of W7 since the repair/install didn't
work, and that repaired the corrupted boot.

Thank to the people who tried to help, great forum full of good info.
