    Keep an eye on your system - report any new occurances after the re-install. I think people are still diagnozing the crash on old install.

    Any crash in the past 4 hours?

    Please also use the Easy Specs link in my sig to update your system information on SF - thanks

    Gigabyte GA-MA770-UD3
    rev. 2.1 | 2.0 | 1.0

    Series 7 chipset - double check, but I think this is for your machine
    AMD Chipset Drivers
    v12.10 - rls: 10/22/2012
    Description: This package is for motherboards with 700 series or newer AMD chipsets, and includes:
    AMD Chipset Drivers
    AMD AHCI Driver
    AMD USB 3.0 Driver

    Nope I was wrong. I'll try again now that MrUser01 has updated the system spec.

    Wrong again, i was correct the first time. Sheesh! I thought I saw an Asus machine in the specs, but looking again, I see the mobo I originally reported. Maybe I looked at the wrong member's specs when I thought I was wrong. My apologies for any confusion.

    I've only used it once. As I understand it, the program is very picky about the brand of CD/DVD drive and sometimes will not run if the drive is in AHCI mode. I used it and had no problems, but many others have. And, BTW, I am not that good, I'm just a pack rat. I keep most everything.

    Thanks, it would also be helpful to cite full references instead of "the program" or "one page back"

    You can find the post you want to reference and right click on the number, then select "copy shortcut" and either make it a link or just paste the URL - you don't have to quote the reference (that does help too, but it fills up the page quicker).

    You're really doing well, thanks for all your effort.

    @Slartybart,
    Thanks for looking , Sorry if I wasted your time then <3 Am glad the new info helps out more :)
    I did get disk with my motherbored *Thought I don't know how old the stuff on there is, but they work*

    @essenbe,
    So should I go and turn off AHCI mode? Or would you say there is not much point.

    @Slartybart,
    I will get onto that now :)

    And no no thank you! And everyone here on sevenforums.com much love to you all! <3
    I would do anything to get this pc from stop crashing even if that means buying / replacing parts

    It's possible the SMART reading given by SeaTools is false positive since it isn't specifically intended for your HD model.

    Why did you spend 6 hours when I specified in the link title to run Diskpart Clean Command which takes 5 seconds?

    Was sound driver installed before all Windows Updates were done?

    Google Chrome is pernicious spyware. Just be aware you deliberately installed the most prying spyware to be found on your PC. If you type in an email that you are going out to eat, suddenly all of the ads on the next web page may be restaurants in your area. If you said you want steak, the ads will feature steaks. You will be stalked. Opt Out of Network Advertising

    Any other steps in Clean Reinstall tutorial ignored?

    @gregrocker,
    Yes that is what I done! I used "Disk - Clean and Clean All with Diskpart Command" But my HD was so locked so I had to put the disk in, and do it like that. I did a "Clean all"

    Yes, I use the disk which come with my motherboard and installed "Internet drivers and sound"

    I have used google chrome for years and have never seen this.. But then I do have adblock plus on.

    Just the ones which was not needed etc...

    So you did not read over Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 to understand how to get a perfect reinstall, so that software could be eliminated as the cause of your problems?

    Because it is quite specific that no drivers should be imported until after all Important and Optional Windows Updates are completed, then only the ones still missing in Device Manager should be imported from the Support Downloads webpage for your PC or device model.

    A driver's disk is out of date almost as soon as it is created.

    This is not XP. WIn7 decides what drivers it wants.

    If you don't want to do it over following the tutorial, enable Automatically get recommended drivers and updates for your hardware and run Windows Updates to check for optional and Important.
