BSOD mostly on startup and a few times while currently using my laptop

Hi guys and gals,

My laptop laptop has has BSOD a lot of times. I have been ignoring it for a while since I can still use may laptop but now it has been bugging me really bad. I use my laptop for school that is why I bring it with me 2-3 times a week.

My laptop is an acer aspire timelinex 4820TG. Running on Windows 7 home premium

About 3 months ago, my laptop started having blue screens. Well the BSOD almost usually happen on start-up. It'll reach up until the windows logo and then crash into blue screen showing the "dumping memory on something" message. Also, my laptop went into blue screen 3 times while i was currently using it and it suddenly restarts right after about half-a-second of blue screen.

I don't know if its a hardware issue but I hope it isn't. Can someone please assist me on what to do. I'm really lost on this.

Attached with this thread is the zip file of my diagnostics using "Windows Seven Forum Diagnostics Tool".

Please help me. I really love my laptop and I don't want to lose it just yet.

Welcome aboard.

► Get rid of intel rapid storage.

Right click on "my computer" icon and click "manage" on the context menu.
It will open the "computer management" window.
Select "Device Manager" in the left pane, It will list all the existing devices up.
Expand "Disc Drives" by clicking on the triangle in front of it.
Select one item under it, right click, uninstall.
Continue the process for all items under "Disc Drives"
Now restart the computer. At restart, windows will auto configure the appropriate system driver, msahci.sys.

► Free up the startup.

Click on the Start button
Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
Select the “Startup” tab.
Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
Apply > OK
Accept the restart.

► Driver Verifier
If it still crashes, enable Driver Verifier.
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable

Run Driver Verifier for 24 hours or the occurrence of the next crash, whichever is earlier.

Let us know the results, with the subsequent crash dumps, if any.

I've already gotten rid of intel rapid storage and freed the startup. All I have to do is wait and see if it would still crash.

Hi,

After doing your procedure, i kinda lost the scroll function on the side of my touchpad. Would you happen to know how to get it back. Sorry for the dumb question. Thanks.

Check it the Device manager.

Select one item under it, right click.
Is is disabled there? If so enable it in the context menu

Does it work properly now?

Hi,

My laptop recently just crashed while i was using it. I have already tried 2 of the 3 methods you've shown above. Now I am going to do the driver verifier.
