Windows 7: BSOD hal.dll, ntoskrnl.exe pci.sys

Code:
BugCheck D1, {100000000, 2, 0, fffff8800187171a}

*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for athrx.sys

Probably caused by : nwifi.sys ( nwifi!ExtSTAReceivePacket+189 )
Code:
Usual causes: Device driver
Update DW1525 (802.11n) WLAN PCIe Card:

Code:
c:\windows\system32\drivers\athrx.sys (8.0.0.239, 1.47 MB (1,542,656 bytes), 2/9/2011 6:33 PM)
The driver athrx.sys seems to be causing some issues, and is rather outdated and old, it would be best to update the driver if possible.

I can't seem to find any drivers related to your network card on the Atheros website:
Code:
BugCheck 124, {4, fffffa8007b01038, 0, 0}

Probably caused by : GenuineIntel
The 0x124 crash indicates that there may be a problem with one of your PCIe slots, which your network card also seems to be using:

Code:
FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: X64_0x124_GenuineIntel_PCIEXPRESS

Thank you. How do I figure out which Network card I have? I ask so i know what driver to look for.

So, I have something that looks like a problem with the Network card and, coincidently, there may also be a problem with a PCIe slot that the Network card happens to be using?

So, do I open the tower up and remove / reset the card? I am not sure what to do at this point.

McAfee blocks networks every off and on. Uninstall McAfee Using McAfee Removal Tool. Use Microsoft Security Essentials only as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner. What you have there, two different real time protection programs installed, is not anything good, and it will not make you secure at all.

Download and install those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one.

Your network card is
DW1525 (802.11n) WLAN PCIe Card [/code] Which uses an Atheros chipset, and the driver is extremely old.
Code:
lmvm athrx
start end module name

Go to Dell's site and use service tag to download the appropriate driver. Product Selection | Dell United States . If you need more help in specific this part, let us know.

From your another dump, which indicates a stop 0x124, WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR, it shows ....

UC status bit means Unexpected Completion, and CTO means Completion Timeout. {Thanks to Vir Gnarus for this lesson} In that situation, It will be the best IMO to change the PCIe network card.

Finally, there are lots of bloatware installed in your system.
Code:

Start Menu\Programs\Dell\Service Agreements
Start Menu\Programs\Dell DataSafe
Start Menu\Programs\Dell DataSafe Online

Start Menu\Programs\Dell Support Center
I'd recommend you to Clean Up Factory Bloatware, with a special reference to Point #13
Quote:
13. Consider a Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which is often better than getting a new computer considering how pre-installed bloatware can corrupt Windows 7 even if it's completely cleaned up.

I got another STOP 0x1A saying MEMORY MANAGEMENT this morning. Windows would not restart so asked to do a Startup Repair and then a system restore. I tried doing the SF Diag to grab the info but it seems to have hung.

If I understand you tho, bottom line, you think i should reintstall windows 7, right? Or should I try all that other stuff first. I dont know how stable this computer is, again...

Oh, and I don't know how it is that McAfee is running on my computer. DELL Tech removed it back in November when i first contacted them. I never reinstalled it. Could it be it appears to be running due to my having done a restore to before it was uninstalled, but isn't actually running?

I attached the latest dump of 12/17.

Thank you.

Have you considered getting a new network card from Dell?

McAfee is still on your system:

Code:
