I tried that earlier but the system could not find sfc. I did a dir on sfc* /s and it was not found.

I take that back!!! i went into the specified directory in the link you sent and it is running now. I am curious why the dir sfc* did not show me the location. but at least it is running. You are wonderful!!
Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations. (results of sfc /scannow)
I enabled the driver verifier and i am ready to reboot. Will log results after 24 hour test. Thank you.
Your welcome, and least the operating system itself is not causing any of the crashes :)
I have not had any BSOD's with the driver verifier running. The fans have been working a lot harder tho since i started the verifier. and the computer is slower to respond when i am opening different internet windows.
I have left the verifier running and i put a usb cable into the 2.0 port that i had taken the cable out of a few days ago (when all the traps stopped happening). Will see how that goes for two days or so.
You can stop Driver Verifier after 24 hours, and least the BSODs have stopped :)
I stopped the Driver Verifier. It is great to not have the computer fans going the way they were with that running.
I guess at this point since the BSODs have disappeared on their own, this thread is no longer needed. Not sure what to tell Dell. But, i guess i better purchase an extended warranty since i am sure this will happen again. It is not like there was a particular fix that corrected a problem.
Thank you so much for your support and expertise. I can't tell you how very good it felt to have someone really trying to help me rather than Dell saying 'reinstall Windows 7'. Would love to find out what is wrong with the display that it leaves trails but i know that is a separate topic.
Thank you~
Your very welcome :)
You could try checking the Mouse Options and the Pointer Settings, there is an option where the mouse shows trails:
Two new crashes. 12/11 and 12/16
regarding the 12/16 crash:
The wireless keyboard and wireless mouse stopped responding (this has happened 3 times before in the last week). I had to turn off power. When I rebooted a few hours later I got the trap.
Also, i dont know if it is relevant but when the mouse and keyboard froze on 12/15 the video display became discolored.
I attached the SF zip file
