Windows 7: BSOD on win7 premium

BSOD on win7 premium

I have a HP laptop with installed windows 7 premium genuine. All things were going fine but today I got 3 BSOD which made me so upset and this BSOD has not ever happened but today.



Some information that I want to give here that I installed McAfee total protection just before BSOD incident.

Bugcheck E1 and McAfee are common.

Uninstall McAfee and see if the problem persists and replace with Microsoft Security Essentials at least to test.Recommended antivirus program for Windows 7 based on stability compared to others:-
Do not start the free trial of Malware Bytes; remember to deselect that option when prompted.

Run a full scan with both (separately) once downloaded, installed and updated.

OK I have unistalled it as you said. I want to ask some suggestion for step 2 about installing your recommended antiviruses, you have not mentioned about AVG antivirus. I have installed it already on my desktop with windows 7 ultimate and it is running like a charm without any errors.

My first choice is MSE then Avast! antivirus but, if AVG works good - causes no BSOD-s..you can use it.

But keep MSE and Malware bytes on the computer you're getting BSOD-s.
