    Form Elevated Command Prompt
    Do:
    Code:
    chkdsk/f c:
Eventually check other disks as well. No errors? All errors repaired? Eventually run it again to be sure disk is running fine. Run Memory Diagnostics Tool as well

Reboot your machine. Then sfc/scannow still gives unrepairable errors?

I tried to run this a couple of times earlier today but my laptop crashed. When it rebooted to run the test I just got a black screen and my HDD was doing nothing. I let if for a couple of minutes but it did nothing.

    I will check again though.

I tried to run Memory Diagnostic Tool from Admin Tools but it crashed. Should I try it in another mode?

    Do the chkdsk command first.

to run Memory Diagnostic Tool :
Boot your machine and tap F8 multiple times (once every half second). Now you see a menu with "safe mode", "safe mode networking" etc.
Also a option "repair your computer". Select it, follow instructions. Then select Memory Diagnostic Tool . Works?
