The probable cause is that besides os being corrupted, the machine was getting overheated and hence the clean reinstall and cleaning the fan did the trick.

I've been browsing the site and the internet for a sollution to my problem, but can't seem te find it. There are similar postings, but they're always just a little different. So that's why i posted the new thread.
Since a couple of days i've been experiencing troubles shutting down...
New Computer Setup. Seemingly Random BSODs several times a day.
At first it was just happening when playing games, or running AUTOCAD. But now it just crashed while watching Hulu. I tried reinstalling all drivers I could think of and even did a whole system wipe with no luck.. still BSing.

i have been getting a blue screen of death when i play games. it says DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. from my research this generally shows up during hibernation or shutdown. can anyone help?

ah.....when i try to shut down my laptop....it just shows shutting down for 5-10 minutes and then.....bang!!!
this BSOD occurs..
and i'm not able to run perfmon /report
it says an error occurred
"can't find path specified"
Help please!!
