I no longer have the box, I just wrote down the serial on a piece of paper and then threw it away, was not aware that there was anything else that was important?

OK. I'm just waiting for someone smarter than me to look at the report.

The installation is non-genuine - a hacker's tool is in use to circumvent actvation and validation requirements.

The Key in use is from an ASUS machine - but the installed motherboard is a no-name retail one.

You will need to reformat and reinstall using genuine media before receiving more help from these forums.

I paid for this windows 7 and I do have a ASUS motherboard.

If you want I can just run my older hard drive with xp on it, it has the same issue, as I said I bought win 7 and an ssd in the hopes it would solve the BSOD and allow me to stream.

You yourself say that this is a self-build - and self-builds CANNOT use OEM_SLP licenses under ANY circumstances.

Whether you paid for it or not is basically irrelevant - the installation is a deliberate counterfeit.

If you don't believe me - run the Watfix tool, then post another MGADiag report....

Download WATFix - make sure that you click on the link in the page, not the big shiny buttons!! - and use that.

reboot and run another MGADiag report.

In addition to this, could you run CKScanner for me please?

CKScanner

Download CKScanner from here

Important : Save it to your desktop.
  • Doubleclick CKScanner.exe and click Search For Files.
  • After a very short time, when the cursor hourglass disappears, click Save List To File.
  • A message box will verify that the file is saved.
  • Double-click the CKFiles.txt icon on your desktop and copy/paste the contents in your next reply.

This will help us troubleshoot your problem

I am sorry if the software I am using is not genuine. I would not knowingly use such software especially considering the fact that as a university student studying an IT subject I can download and use for free whichever version of windows I want, from xp to 8.

Aside from that; I managed to solve the problem on my own but thank you very much Arc for all your assistance, it is very much appreciated.

I figured I should state the solution in case anyone comes here from google with similar problems.

Identifying the issue: Use Memtest to check if there is an issue with the ram: RAM - Test with Memtest86+
I ran this and got upwards of a million errors.

Soliving the issue: Change which slots the ram is in on the motherboard (P5Q3). The problem was when the sticks were in slots 2 and 4 (dimm_A2 and dimm_B2) the orange slots which are recommended to use. I put my ram into the black slots instead and re-ran memtest. No errors. Can now play and stream just fine.
