    Random BSODs, 0x000000d1/0x1000007E

    Hi,

I'm getting a hell of a lot BSODs recently, with differing error messages.

The BSODs don't seem to be triggered by specific things, or happen at specific times, at least as far as I am able to discern.

I'm attaching several minidump files of the different errors, and would greatly appreciate help in analyzing them.

    Thanks

Most possible a virus. Scan your system with these.

    Let us know the results.

Edit: Uninstall AVG. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.

Download and install those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one.

Edit again: Your display driver is extremely old.
    Code:
     lmvm atikmdag
    start end module name

    Hey,

    Thanks for trying to help.

I'm now fairly positive that the problem isn't malware of any sort.

The BSODs became so frequent that I couldn't even complete the scans you recommended. After having tried numerous times, I decided to do a fresh install. However, the BSODs remain.

I'm attaching a zip file with the results form the SF Diagnostics Tool. I hope that could maybe help to shed some more light on the reason for all this.

    Thanks again for helping.

EDIT: After installing Windows again, I've installed the latest AMD Catalyst driver from AMD's website (not the beta version). However, I noticed that Windows Update suggests that I update it with a much older driver, dated 17 June 2011. For the time being I chose not to update it. Should I?

Scan the system for possible virus infection.

If you find any display driver update via windows update, install it.
