Oh ok then, is it possible to buy a new key without the disks or anything?
Just out of curiosity, why can I not use my sisters old key seeing as though she has installed windows 8 and that old key is no longer in use?

Something like 90% of eBay sofware sales are counterfeit - and something like 50% contain malware.
Without going into detail I would avoid such sites like the bubonic plague.

Oooooh ok then, where would you suggest getting it from? and which version? (bearing in mind I don't have much money at the moment).
The things is, I have had this running for a few months with hardly any problems so even though I will get a valid key, I would still like to try everything I can. KoolKat has helped me quiet a lot so far, but I hit a problem, I have the memtest installed and ready to use on a USB stick but when I try to boot from USB I get a black screen and a beep (on, off rapidly) which does not stop until I restart it.
Also as you may have noticed from my other posts, I keep getting different BSOD's.

Just got BSOD again with the original STOP Error 0x0000001E
When I research the various codes one word that pops up a lot in kernal, what is that?

Edit: after a bit of research am I right in saying that the keranl is in between the software and hardware and decides how much of the hardware's capabilities to allow each piece of running software at any one time? So say RAM.. the kernal would allocate different amounts of memory to different programs depending on which one you are using at that time?

Better if you upload the dumps.

Here are dumps from today and a log from a malware that found a few things, nothing looks serious but if you could check it I would greatly appreciate it.

    Will check them soon.

Were you able to test RAM?

Edit: Seems to be crashing on the old atheros network driver again. Were you able to update those?
Run another disk check as well.

Did you test the hard drive?

No I was unable to test the RAM, when I try to boot from the USB with memtest on it, I get a black screen with a flashing _ and it beeps rapidly until I restart at the switch.

When I go to uninstall programs I can't find anything to do with the atheros driver.

I will run another Disk Check now.

I didn't do the hard drive test as I need a spare disk which I don't have at the moment, may be 2 weeks before I have the money to get any but once I have some I will do it.

Edit:I will do the Disk Check tonight as last time I done it, it took a while.
