Brand New PC Crashing Once A Day Mostly 5min After StartUp !

    Hi Folks

I'm afraid my first post here is a cry for help but hopefully things will improve.

I bought a new PC over a month ago to replace an aged Medion machine. During the first week of use I reckon I suffered maybe 30 BSOD's so back it went to the shop. The shop had never seen anything like it and had them stumped but after a week I got it back and booted it up straight into a BSOD (Dear Lord Give Me Strength To Carry On). However, now I only get one maybe two crashes a day which is a big improvement but nonetheless frustrating for a brand new PC. I have done a fair bit of research myself and before returning it ran Memtest which did throw up errors but I have not run it since. WhoCrashed says it is a driver problem but isn't specific. I found out last night the CPU doesn't appear in the list supported by the motherboard and this was after flashing to the latest version of the BIOS (crashed 5mins after booting this morning -my hopeful yet hopeless test).

I am hoping there is an expert who can analyse the files and tell me if I have a driver conflict or old driver as it is driving me potty. I have upgraded AMD drivers, Realtek drivers all to no apparent avail and this is me at my limit.

Any help you can give would be very gratefully appreciated.

PS. In closing for some strange reason after the first crash of the day the PC doesn't stall again but almost without fail we get our one a day (and close to startup / the settling down period as I call it)

    Cheers

I wouldn't spend a lot of time on it. I'd take it back to the vendor again. They should make it right. You shouldn't have to put up with this.

My BSOD is taking place at what appears to be a very specific time each day either during booting up when it just restarts before getting to the login screen or shortly thereafter once each day (and nothing again after that).

It has already been back to the shop and the result was better but still not perfect but I can see from this forum it is not uncommon.

Is there anyone who could have a quick look at what the dump files are saying just in case it is a simple case of a driver that needs to be updated or something more fundamental ?

When it has got over it's morning hiccup it is fine thereafter something during this phase is causing the problem.

I do get some small degree of satisfaction from solving these problems but not without the goodwill of experts on forums such as these.

    Thanks

Uninstall Avast using Avast Uninstall Utility.
Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.
Download and install those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one.

For a safety reason, scan the system for possible virus infection.

And, test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight, per RAM module per slot.

    Let us know the results.

    Arc,

    Thanks for your response !

Avast uninstalled last night in favour of MSE which ran without highlighting any issues.

MBAM found one critical object on an external HDD which was removed accordingly.

Anti-rootkit utility did not throw up any issues.

I tried but couldn't get the PC to boot from my USB to run Windows Defender and simply ran out of time on Memtest.

This morning full of hope I booted up to run straight into two crashes one whilst replying to your post ! Like it's getting angry we are getting closer ?!

I attach the txt files for your information if that is any use ? If you need any more information let me know.

    Attachment 244791

    Attachment 244792

PS. I noticed that my motherboard manufacturer does not list the cpu paired to it as being compatible - could this be an issue ?

    GIGABYTE TECHNOLOGY Socket AM3+ - AMD 760G - GA-78LMT-S2P (rev. 5.x)

I have an AMD FX 8120 installed ?

    Any help, as always appreciated.

    Cheers

    1050rat,

If the motherboard and the CPU are not compatible, it must be a big issue, undoubtedly. And the memtest is also needed there.

About the crashes, no text! What we need is the files as per the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions, which will give us a closer look to the issue. So upload it .

    Hi Arc,

The PC was returned to the manufacturer and a new compatible motherboard was installed. The PC still crashes at exactly the same time just after startup as it did before ! I attach a copy of the latest dump to see if there is anything obvious causing this ?

It made me think a lot, and I decided to make things clear. It makes me think of any malware like rootkit, again.

Also, you should run memtest. Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
