    BSOD on windows startup

My friend has a Toshiba notebook that is getting a BSOD when starting up (right as windows starts to load). It happens every time and always shuts the notebook off. I haven't been able to get Windows to load Successfully. The version of Windows is Media Center Edition 2005. I've attached a pic of the BSOD. If anyone can give me any info on the prob and or some troubleshooting advice I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Windows won't load. This BSOD happens every time just after Windows starts to load.

That requires booting into Windows, as the OP stated he can't get into Windows at all.

I'm going to try to install Windows 7. Hopefully it installs and it was just a software issue.

I guess this was some type of software issue as everything seems to be running well after formatting to Windows 7. Thanks for help.
