BSOD code 1a, doesn't seem to be a pattern on when it happens

Okay, so recently I built a new system

    Motherboard: Asus m5a97 le r 2.0
processor: AMD phenom II x4 965 be
    RAM: Patriot Viper 3 1600 mhz 2x8gb http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6820220690

Ever since day 1, I've been getting random BSODs, whether downloading something, or playing a game, or surfing the web
All these BSODs are code 1a (memory management)

Now I noticed, not only is my RAM not on the QVL, but all the RAM that is on the QVL for my motherboard at 1600mhz and 16gb is 4x4, and there is no single 8gb stick of ram on the QVL in that section.

So... what do you guys think the problem is? Drivers (I really don't think so..), RAM, or MOBO
