Update:
I've gotten in contact with HP and they are taking it in for 'diagnostic and repair'
So it will be a few days until I ship it off, at least a week before I get it back, and then get to call them again, YAY.
Sadly, I received the laptop and within an hour got another NTFS.sys BSOD.
I think I'm going to do a clean install first, since they loaded it up again. Still makes no sense, though.
You are absolutely right. As they have done a factory restore, all the HP programs should be back there.
Follow this guide to get a perfect reinstall: Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7
Here is the latest crash. There was one before it, but dumps weren't enabled. :s
The BSOD for the one that was not captured was labeled IRQL_GT_Zero_At_System_Service
Have you done the clean reinstall?
The list of failing drivers as par the last crash are ....
- Intel Centrino Wireless (Bluetooth Adapter driver)
- Intel Proset Bluetooth HighSpeed Filter Driver
- Intel Graphics driver
- Intel® Wireless WiFi Link Adapter
- nVidia Video drivers
A casual reply depending on the fact that you will do the clean reinstall ... whatever, inform us what you have done, and what it resulted.
Oh, sorry I didn't mention that, yes I did the clean reinstall, and that was the first crash I received.
Interesting that there are so many drivers failing considering I just did the clean install and installed them freshly downloaded.
A few more crashes.
