    The new drivers may not match with your device, search in HP's site, if you can have BIOS update there, it will update the chipset. And, search for specific model numbers, all are there in this post.

    Either you need to update the drivers, or you need to replace the WiFi card.

    I'm not sure if replacing the WiFi card is possible. Its an internal one. But even so, can it be replaced?

    At that situation, you need to update the BIOS, it will update the chipset drivers, including the network driver.
