    About Bios...

    Hello,

I just installed W7 on my Desktop PC, everything was fine during installation.
I installed all drivers, I restarted, I turned it OFF, turned it ON, everything absolutely perfect.
Because I was downloading something very large in GB I decided to leave it ON over the night, and when I woke up, the LCD was turned OFF like in standby. I tried to press the power button but nothing happened.
I turned it OFF, then turned it ON but W7 does not boot.
I entered to BIOS and everything there was changed, absolutely everything, from RAM Frequency to Audio Front Panel.
I reconfigured it and now I'm running W7 perfectly, but I want to know why it was this happening and how to prevent this in the future.

    Thanks in advance.

maybe a bad overclock/bios config caused it to BSOD while you were asleep? then it reverted to default settings :P?

Sometimes that type of BIOS settings reversion or alteration is caused by the impending death of that little battery on the motherboard. You might want to try exchaning the one on your motherboard for a new one.

At any rate, it's got nothing to do with the software you've installed. Only the nastiest of nasty viruses aim to alter BIOS configuration, and there's presumably no reason to suspect that you've got one of those.
