Random BSOD whilst surfing, error 0x000000a1 MEMORY_MANAGEMENT

system info:
windows 7 home premium 64 bit
8 GB RAM
AMD FX(tm)-4170 Quad-Core Processor

Hi,
recently got a BSOD for no apparent reason first time I have experienced it to.
so I downloaded Whocrashed wich gave me the following info:

On Sun 2012-12-30 12:00:17 GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\123012-9594-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x7EFC0)
Bugcheck code: 0x1A (0x5003, 0xFFFFF70001080000, 0x504D, 0x53410000A0BA)
Error: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
file path: C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
company: Microsoft Corporation
description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This indicates that a severe memory management error occurred.
This might be a case of memory corruption. More often memory corruption happens because of software errors in buggy drivers, not because of faulty RAM modules.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

On Sun 2012-12-30 12:00:17 GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\memory.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntkrnlmp.exe (nt!KeBugCheckEx+0x0)
Bugcheck code: 0x1A (0x5003, 0xFFFFF70001080000, 0x504D, 0x53410000A0BA)
Error: MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
Bug check description: This indicates that a severe memory management error occurred.

On Fri 2012-09-28 13:04:48 GMT your computer crashed
crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\092812-10046-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: etronxhci.sys (0xFFFFF880053DB8B7)
Bugcheck code: 0xD1 (0x8488000000, 0x2, 0x0, 0xFFFFF880053DB8B7)
Error: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
file path: C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etronxhci.sys
product: Etron xHCI Driver.
company: Etron Technology Inc
description: Etron eXtensible Host Controller Driver.
Bug check description: This indicates that a kernel-mode driver attempted to access pageable memory at a process IRQL that was too high.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
A third party driver was identified as the probable root cause of this system error. It is suggested you look for an update for the following driver: etronxhci.sys (Etron eXtensible Host Controller Driver., Etron Technology Inc).
Google query: Etron Technology Inc DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL

CONCLUSION
3 crash dumps have been found and analyzed. A third party driver has been identified to be causing system crashes on your computer. It is strongly suggested that you check for updates for these drivers on their company websites. Click on the links below to search with Google for updates for these drivers:

etronxhci.sys (Etron eXtensible Host Controller Driver., Etron Technology Inc)

If no updates for these drivers are available, try searching with Google on the names of these drivers in combination the errors that have been reported for these drivers and include the brand and model name of your computer as well in the query. This often yields interesting results from discussions from users who have been experiencing similar problems.

Should I be worried? should i update the etron driver? and can it also be the cause of the latest crash and if so what should I do?
I think I managed to add the minidump file...

Try and get some of the drivers in red updated, especially that one that dates back to 2006 marked in black. There is a possibility that not all of the drivers have a recent update for them, but the majority of them have updates. Just Google the drivers including the ".SYS" format.

Note to other analysts: feel free to correct me if any mistakes I made in this post.
@ OP: my apologies if others spot mistakes in my post too.

Just trying to help.

EDIT: Just also like to add to this post, your dump shows your BSOD to be a MEMORY_MANAGEMENT.

These actions might prevent an error like this from happening again:
  1. Download and install updates and device drivers for your computer from Windows Update.
  2. Scan your computer for computer viruses.
  3. Check your hard disk for errors.

Hello HiddenC, really well done. Congrats. I wish you post and help more frequently.

I usually do it differently. As I have seen that no possible cause id displayed, and no failing module is there in the thread displayed, I would like notice the stopcode. Here it is 1A; that means either a device driver, or memory failure.

So I would suggest two things here .... Driver verifier and 8 passes of Memtest86+.

Also I would not go for updating microsoft provided drivers.

But all those are different modus operandi .... but what is in it, if the desired outcome is attained?

So, dont hesitate to post more, and help more. Cheers
