My antivirus scan is complete and shows one virus (Trojan.agent svchost.exe) I tried deleting it and malwarebytes said it was deleted successfully. I rebooted into safe mode and It's back. How do I get rid of this?

I would google the exact name as there are often specific removal tools and procedures
Often virus or trojans can get copied into system restore or similar area that AV has no control over and can then copy themselves out on reboot
Try Windows Defender Offline as it scans before windows boots and some limitations are removed

There is a lot of information to look at for this virus. I also cannot use windows defender offline. It says I cant be in safe mode. Can a virus cause a bsod?

I couldnt put a definite yes or no on that, a virus can mess things up and something its messed up could cause it
Whats the issue with offline scan, download it, burn it to disk or flash drive, boot from it and the scan should run, if not your best bet may be to find a removal tool of the net

Ok, I removed the virus and am now going to start trying to clean boot.

Edit- I went through the clean boot process and it worked! I decided to not re-enable some services that I no longer use so I can't pinpoint the exact service.

Thank you for all of your help.

Good news glad to hear its going good, just be aware it is possible for some programs/services to reactivate themselves i have found in the past if something is taken out of startup and you manually run it at a later date it is possible for some its to automatically add themselves back into startup so you sometimes end up with two entries in msconfig one selected and one unselected just be aware of this if problems return, it may be wise to keep notes of what you have turned off. Hopefully that will be it sorted but if any problems return or you need any more help just post back

Hello - hope someone can help. I continue to get the BSOD when using SONAR X3 DAW. It happens randomly, but the frequency has been increasing. I used SlimDriver to update the drivers thinking that might be a fix, but it's still happening. Any help would be much appreciated.
