Random BSODs caused by USB I think.

Tried to look at the dumps but I could not determine a cause. Any assistance would be great. The 2 latest BSOD's in the file are real. The ones prior to that not sure about validity since the laptop had virus & rootkit. Cleaned those.

Can you describe the situation further? Is there a pattern you can deduce from this besides it being USB-related? When does it occur? Can you induce it?

These minidumps can't be used to evaluate cause because they require private symbols accessible only to those with MSDN access. However, Driver Verifier may be able to help us in this endeavor. Let it crash the system a few times then send us the crashdumps.

Also, do a BIOS and chipset driver updates, as well as USB driver updates as well if those also exist. If you use any USB hubs that may be a cause of these, so try and see if the system stabilizes without using any. Check your USB devices and see if there are driver/firmware updates for any of them.

If all else fails, this may be conducive of motherboard failure, which USB ports are typically the first to go. This is not uncommon on OEM laptops, especially Sony VAIOs.
