BSOD's PFN_list, Power_Management, Memory_Management.

I'm having some BSOD's since maybe 1-3 months now. It first started with the Power_Management BSOD a month or maybe more before which was occuring once a day. Now, since a week or so the Memory_Management BSOD is occurring as well. Still 1 BSOD a day, Memory_management more often. Today I checked some forums with possible solutions and found someone with the same issue so I followed the steps there with repair tools. It didn't fix anything, it just added another BSOD: PFN_List. I decided to stop fixing things since I don't know much about computers. I just looked up the way to make a minidump file and I'm waiting ight now for the BSOD's to happen. A soon as one occurs I'll be posting more info and the dump file.

Hello again.

I might have an idea about the source of some of my BSOD's. See, I bought a new PC 6 months ago but not a new Power Supply. When I start streaming my games I'll get a BSOD sooner or later that day. Can it be the reason I'm getting these Power_Management and Memory_Management BSOD's? I haven't used my streaming the last 2 days and I didn't get any BSOD so far. I will turn it on today so I might get another so I can post the dump file.

Thanks for the quick reply last time. You will hear from me again soon.

Hello again.

It's been a while since I last posted but I wasn't getting any BSOD's anymore the computer just restarts. When I'm in the middle of something the screen goes black andit's restarting so I wasn't sure it was a BSOD. But now I'm back and I finally have the minidump.

I hope this helps

Also it's a good idea to run Hardware Diagnostic, RAM & Hard drive.

I'm a bit confused. I've read the part of how to let windows create dump files but I'm not sure which one needs to be created. A complete dump, Mini dump or a kernal dump? And I Need to post the last dump file in the dump file map, is that correct?

May I ask why you are running windows with a product key that belongs to an Acer/Gateway/Packard system when your system is not manufactured by any of those companies?

I'm not sure what you mean. I had this pc assembled in a pc store with windows on it. A friend of mine has installed windows on it 2 or 3 times last 2 years because of virus problems.

Unfortunately the friend who installed windows for you is using a product key that should not be used with a custom built computer like yours. My best advice don't let him touch your computer again and go out and buy a full retail product key for windows then it doesn't matter what computer you put it on. also unfortunately since your install of windows is illegal we can not provide further help until you have re-installed with a legal copy of windows and posted this:Windows Genuine and Activation Issue Posting Instructions

Oh ok. Thank you for your advice. I do not know much about computers so my friend usually fixes it for me. I'll be buying a legal copy then. Thanks.
