BSOD then restart during "Starting Windows" after reconnecting top fan

    • My PC was working fine. I turned off PC and reconnected a fan which I had forgotten to reconnect the last time I opened my PC.
    • Then after reconnecting it my PC started going into a 3 second start/restart loop, continuously. I fiddled around with the wires and got the PC to stop going into the 3 second loop and it started normally. But then during the "Starting Windows" animation it showed a BSOD for half a second and restarted.
    • The BSOD had a STOP 0x0000007b error
    • startup repair is useless, kept showing 0x0 for everything. it says "Startup Repair has tried several times but still cannot determine the cause of the problem" Can't enter safe mode. Can't do chkdsk because every drive is "write protected" for some reason. I checked every cable from the power board to the other stuff in the pc and checked the cables from the motherboard to the other stuff and everything is connected fine. I don't have any CD as it didn't come with a CD.Please help!

    Hi and welcome,

Its late and you have no dump file attached to your post, but have a look at this Microsoft article, it has a fix and may be related to your issue.
Error message occurs after you change the SATA mode of the boot drive
Also to post minidumps please follow this guide:

    Hope this helps

    Hi,

I meant im tired :) Its 1.00pm in my half of the world.

Seeing as your PC wont boot at all I suggest you start another thread "Computer wont Boot" in order to get help with that issue first.
