Complete PC failure when playing games

Hi all, I have an ongoing problem with crashes when playing games. I get no BSOD, screen just goes blank and then loses signal, only option is hard reset. As there is no blue screen, it is difficult to determine what is causing this, I have listed some points below:
  • Games that have caused crash are CS:GO, Black Mesa & Defense Grid! COD Black Ops however plays perfectly with no problems. All games are running on Steam.
  • I have stress tested the CPU & GFX card and run memtest to see if any of these are faulty or overheating. These tests have not brought up any faults.
  • As there is no BSOD I don't get normally get a Windows data dump file, although it did generate one once and I've attached this file
Thx

Thanks for posting these, I have reinstalled the drivers and deleted the Catalyst control centre software and so far... no crashes!

I hope that's it, is there a known issue with catalyst software?

CCC is problematic sometimes, but not necessarily always.

As you have experienced issues, better you keep away of it

Inform us how the computer is working, ok?

Ok so I'm still getting the crashes, below is what I've tried:

  • Deleted AMD catalyst & graphics drivers, reinstalled graphics drivers only
  • Reset pagefile
  • Did graphics memory test - no problems there
  • Checked graphics card temp regularly when in-game, never got over 62c
  • Did harddisk diagnostic - came back with 0.3% damaged blocks (possibly caused by all the hard resets!)
Any ideas.......?

Is is supplying enough power or not. And, the way to do it is to replace it with another one.

Should be, it runs much more graphic intensive games like COD fine.
