    Random BSOD error 0x00000001 APC_Index_Mismatch

I have a BSOD. It occurs for the most part when the computer is not being actively used. Random timing. Says it is APC_Index_Mismatch.

I tried driver verification and was pointed at iastor.sys during boot sequence before windows if loaded; Drive_IRQL_Not_ less_or_equal, Stop 0x000000D1; Updated Intel drivers and it changed to IASTORA.sys .

    Dual boot system
HDD and SSD both have same problem; SSD is clone of HDD and is default boot.

    Thanks for the help,
    Steve

Uninstall Norton and all Symentec products using Norton Removal tool. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.

Download, install and update those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one.

    Let us know the results.

Went to use the removal tool to remove Norton and the were some references to Norton Utilities 14 in the registry that prevented it from running. USed Norton support to remove all. They re-installed Norton Internet Security and I am running the system to see if the BSOD re-occurs. Still an open ticket. Will update here when I get more info.
