PC reboots when playing games

When I start playing games like WoW or LoL my PC will randomly reboot. I have turned off the "automatically restart" option in advanced settings under computer properties. I have attempted to play without the RAC running. I have also set all of my video settings to minimum in the games. The thing is, I don't get a BSoD, it just reboots. Comes right back up and everything looks fine. I can't find any errors in the events logs. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi MMon and welcome to Windows 7 Forums.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the most up-to-date video card drivers?

Also try the sound card, it could easily be that.

I uninstalled and reinstalled the video card driver from AMD. As soon as I did that the reboots became more frequent. Initially it would happen once or twice then stop for the night. Now, after the new install it reboots every time I open the games. I am grabbing the audio drivers as I type this. It has been going on like this for about 2 months now so I am ready to get it resolved.

Still during games?

Are you saying that it sometimes doesn't restart when playing games?

Let me know how you get on with the audio drivers, in my experience they frequently cause problems that start when launching a game.

No, initially when the issue started happening (before installing the amd catalyst engine control 12.11) it would reboot about 2-3 times then it wouldn't anymore. Now it reboots every time I play. I checked with my MOBO site and I have the current audio drivers.

I would still recommend un- and reinstalling the drivers.

Have you got any USB peripherals plugged in?

I removed all USB peripherals and also set my pc to boot in minimal settings through msconfig. I was able to run a burn test through msi kombuster 2.5 with no problem. Once I put the burn to full screen (1440x900) the PC rebooted within 10 seconds of starting. Checking my event viewer the only Critical event is Kernel-Power:

EDIT: I'd like to also add that there was no BSoD from this reboot. Tomorrow I am uninstalling the video card and drivers and replacing them with the exact same model (my brothers) and running a burn test. Friday my brother is also bringing me his PSU to test the possibility that the PSU is just failing when my video card is asking for more power. During the burn test my GPU got to about 92C max. My CPU never passed 55C. So I do not believe it is an over heating problem.
