Recurring BSOD past few days - BCCode 116

Hi there,

For the past few days, I've gotten a BSOD once or twice per day while playing games. I searched around a bit for solutions, and many pointed to a graphics driver problem, so I checked and mine was indeed out of date. I updated it and it seemed to fix the problem for a while, but then tonight I've had BSOD after BSOD while just browsing (for solutions), happening at random intervals from 2 mins after booting to 30 mins or so.

There was a Windows update the day before this started happening, so I tried a system restore to the previous update, but it didn't help. I then restored back to the latest restore point.

As of now, there hasn't been a crash in about an hour, so it seems very random.

What you need to do is to follow this guide: STOP 0x116: VIDEO_TDR_ERROR troubleshooting

BTW, this version of nvidia display driver you are using is problematic sometimes, so it is better to roll it back to an earlier one.

Thanks, so far it seems to be working. As for rolling back the drivers, the program left a handful of drivers undeleted that require the premium version. Do I need to delete them manually or just continue and install the older drivers?

As much as the free version has deleted, that is enough. Continue with the installation, and if the crashes bounce back, follow the other steps.
