    What's foolish is relying on the ratings of sites that accept advertising from those they are rating. Besides ruining its reputation by bundling crapware into their downloads, CNET had a huge Norton ad on the same page with its last ratings in which Norton mysteriously rated high.

    Besides, those are "news" sites. This is the undisputed top tech forum on the web, where the bits actually meet the metal. We see tens of thousands of cases to compare. Our advertising is walled off in the public view which we don't ever see.
