It looks like the above software is the cause of the BSOD.

I'd recommend updating its drivers. And if updating does not solve the issue, please remove the software and delete all its drivers.

Avg is not the best security software, please uninstall it.

    Microsoft Security Essentials.

Recommended from a strict BSOD perspective, compatibility & stability compared to other antiviruses/internet security software. It is free and lightweight:-
       Warning
Do not start the free trial of Malware Bytes; remember to deselect that option when prompted.

Run a full scan with both (separately) once downloaded, installed and updated.

    1. Click on User CP on the top right of this page
    2. Click on Edit System Spec
    3. Fill in your computer specs

    Perform a System File Check:
    1. Click on the start
    2. Type CMD on Search
    3. Left click and Run as Administrator
    4. Type SFC /scannow

    Full tutorial here:

Disk Check on your hard drive for file system errors and bad sectors on it:

Reduce items at start-up. Nothing except anti-virus is required plus improves the time for logging in windows.

Thank you for the help and advice! I have been searching high and low for a different driver from pitney bowes for the postage meter but can only seem to find the one that they claim is compatible with Windows 7 X64. I have uninstalled the driver and had windows automatically look for a new driver, but it only reinstalled the driver that was already there before. So, I have disabled the driver and I will wait to see if that resolves the problem.

I have also taken your advice on the anti-virus software and thank you for the recommendations!

I do a check disk about once every 2 months and I am putting off the system file check because I don't want to lose my themes right now...

I'll re-post when I am sure that pesky driver from pitney bowes was in fact the problem and thank you again for all the help!
