Monitor Connectivity Issues

Hey all,

I've recently been experiencing my monitor losing its signal or going into sleep mode after about a minute of Windows 7 having run fine. I thought it was the way my GPU was seated, and after several attempts I think it's sorted. However I had some nasty crashes and obtained a DMP. Can anyone tell me what was happening with this?

Apologies if it's a waste of anyones time. I just wanted to make sure I'd got to the root of it.

Regards,
Jibrohni

***UPDATE*** I'm still getting this issue in Low Res mode (VGA mode) - please help!!

It might be a malware, in some cases.
Code:
fffff880`052bfb98 fffff880`011804ee ataport!IdePortDispatch+0x16
Scan the system for possible virus infection.
Let us know the results.

Yes, so I believe it is a problem with the connection into my oversized GPU. I've lay the box on its side now so the weight of the GPU isn't affecting its seating position. Tightened screws too. I'll report back in a day or two if it's all still ok.

Thanks again
