Maybe someone could explain the 1.5v memory modules being used when it seems like only the low voltage modules are supported. The following is an excerpt from the AMD processor specs. It could be it does support 1.5v modules but I couldn't find it.

"The AMD FX Processor features a high-bandwidth, low-latency integrated memory controller that supports up to DDR3-1866 and new low voltage memories of 1.35V and 1.2V..."

Oh, I just felt that I needed some backup because I'm just one person and I was making a case that I felt needed more witnesses. :)

I enjoyed the "4th of July mode" comment too!

Anyway, from what I've seen on Overclock.net, 1.5V memory is a very common choice for AMD FX-based systems. It's just that they're finally supporting lower voltage memory for people who want that option (and of course, many do). It's like with Intel's CPUs doing the same but you can still safely use 1.65V memory.

I have the new PSU sitting underneath my desk, super busy till the end of the month so the switch will have to wait, good news is: my computer will not be in use since I will be traveling for at least the next fourteen days...!
