Blue Screen ntoskrnl.exe, ataport.SYS and win32k.sys

Hi,

I have had several blue screens in the last 2 weeks. I've ran chkdsk and sfc several times. SFC comes with bad files that can't be repaired. I can't do an offline repair because of PGP. I could decrypt, start in recovery mode, and then re-encrypt but I am trying avoid that.

I have BlueScreenView to view the minidump but am lost on how to exactly fix. The BUg Check String has been KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR for ntoskrnl.exe, ataport.SYS and win32k.sys

Thank you for your time.
Jorge

Hello nthprime. Is it your personal computer, or ?

You need to uninstall McAfee. Uninstall McAfee Using McAfee Removal Tool. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.

Download, install and update those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one. Scan the system for possible virus infection, too.
Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

Free up the startup.
  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
  3. Select the “Startup” tab.
  4. Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
  5. Apply > OK
  6. Accept the restart.
Let us know the results.
