    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA BSOD 3/4 times a day.


    Hey,

    I've had occasional blue screens before but for the past few weeks I'm getting them a few times a day.
    It's mostly PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA but I've also had MEMORY_MANAGEMENT, win32k.sys, DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL and a few days back I had CRITICAL_STRUCTURE_CORRUPTION for the first time.

    I've tested my RAM and it was fine, ran chkdsk on every partition and it never found any errors, so I have no idea what's causing them.

    As I said before, PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA is by far the most common.

    It'll happen randomly when I'm just browsing the net, or sometimes it'll freeze programs, then when I shut them down it'll immediately bluescreen.
    Also, sometimes when I reboot after a blue screen it'll totally reset a program like it's just been installed, Skype or Steam for example, I'll have to log in and select all my settings again.

    If anyone has idea what I can do please reply!

    It looks like your crashes are being caused by Avast!:

    Please uninstall ti using this tool:

    Avast! Removal Tool

    Then replace it with MSE and Mbam.

    TIP: be sure to uncheck the box offering to start a free trial when installing Mbam.

    Hey,

    I thought it may have been avast last week and I uninstalled it for a couple of days but was still getting crashes.
    Or wouldn't that have deleted the driver too?

    Will give it a try and post again if I have more crashes.

    It looks like the error you are getting has to do with possibly corrupt memory, so please do the following:

    First run memtest for atleast 8 passes:

    RAM - Test with Memtest86+

    Tip: do this overnight it can take a long time.

    Also please open an elevated command prompt and run this command:

    Hi,

    Ran memtest overnight, and found 0 errors.
    sfc /scannow also came up with nothing.

    Still getting daily crashes

    Pleas see if therer are any updates for your bios and run the following command from an elevated command prompt:

    chkdsk /f /r
    next please run through this tutorial on HD diagnostics to ensure there isn't a problem with your drive(s):

    Hi,

    Sorry for the late reply but I'm still getting blue screens regularly.
    I've ran chkdsk several times and it's found nothing, and today I tested both of my drives with SeaTools and every test passed.
