If its not the drivers that is causing the BSOD ? Something has to be . How many security software do you have installed ?

I have:
Avast! Antivirus
Spybot SnD
MalwareBytes
Spyware blaster (its used to immunilize ONLY)
SUPERAntiSpyware

Spybot, bytes, and antispyware are all scanners only. No real time protection. Only ran once a month

Hopefully you didn't purchase avast . Too many issues with Avast . If you didn't uninstall it using Revo uninstaller . Download MSE instead .

Nope I did not purchase it Alright, I just hate how long this program takes to scan though. But if it helps with the bsod problems then it'd be worth it.

Uninstalling now.

ps: All of a sudden, I can now change my brightness setting? And did you see my post about the weird driver version (9.2, ect?)

I uninstalled the update to the display driver 13-1_vista_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc_whql.exe, the display driver version is "Display Driver ver. 9.012"
Display Driver ver. 9.012
Display Driver ver. 9.012
Display Driver ver. 9.012

The screen went blank, restarted. Then my pc was at the smaller resolution (as it should, it was liike 1024 x 768) But the driver version was changed to 8.981.0.0. The lenovo driver! I uninstalled it again in device manager again. When it went blank again, it changed to 9.2.0.0. This is apparantly the windows 8 default driver. But it doesn't make since because:

9.2.0.0 is the default driver, windows reports it as release date 9/27/2012.
13-1_vista_win7_win8_64_dd_ccc_whql.exe (AMD driver) is 9.012, release date 1/17/2013.
1/17/2013
The lenovo one is 8.981.0.0, released 27 Aug 2012

Why would it revert to the 8.9 release, and then 9.2.0.0 after I uninstalled the display driver?

Looking at Lenovo's website your Laptop comes with one of these graphic cards. Lenovo doesn't update the drivers they only have the drivers that come with the PC. To get updated drivers you go to the manufacture of the graphic cards.

Lets uninstall this update "KB2778344" and then restart

I have uninstalled the update you told me to, it succeeded and I hid it in windows update. My cpu is a model 2, I went to download the update and install it but it reports that the update is already installed.

(off topic, after uninstalling daemon tools and avast! free antivirus, my computer has been a bit snappier I'm still on 9.2.0.0 display driver though)

When I was looking at your Windows updates it didn't locate the KB2818604 update.

Try downloading the driver from AMD's website again .
