Windows 7: BSOD with Lenovo x200s

Errr,

Tried to install the patch as mentioned, but got note saying "you do not need to install this patch on your machine".

So I guess I either do without Thinkpad Power Manager or I put up with Doze related BSOD?

Would someone be kind enough to have a look at the logs posted and say whether the problem does appear to be related to Doze?

Thanks.

Sorry, this slipped past me.

Why did you not want to keep the proprietary power management software uninstalled? There isn't really anything that I can see it doing outside what Windows already offers in its Power Options in the Control Panel, outside of maybe a few gimmicky items.

So have you been experiencing instability again since you reinstalled the software? The only reason why I was worried about the Doze driver is because it was involved in the crashes via checking the crashdumps. Whether or not it was actually causing it I'm not 100% sure, but given that it showed up in the crashdumps, and that your instability seemed to mysteriously disappear since it was uninstalled, I can't seem to speculate it being anything else at this moment.

Thanks for your reply Vir Gnarus.

Lenovo Power Manager can display battery information such as full charge capacity, current/voltage/wattage, cycle count, manufacture date, first used date etc which I don't think can be read by Windows. It also has battery maintenance settings which can be used to set custom charging thresholds, and there is an option to automatically set thresholds to optimize for battery lifespan. I don't think Windows can do all of this (I may be wrong about that). I really find it pretty useful and I like to try to try to avoid having to replace batteries too often (Lenovo batteries are expensive!!!). I guess I could do without it though.

As I said in my earlier post I did have a couple of BSOD after installing Power Manager, but I really don't know if they were connected with Doze or not. I did attach the logs to my earlier post. I have done quite a bit of reading, but trying to analyse the logs is beyond me I'm afraid!

Thanks again.

I recommend uninstalling it once more and seeing if it stabilizes again. Again, because removing it seemed to stabilize the system last time, if it works again, it is without doubt the Doze driver.
