Random BSOD occurs after USB drivers installed

This is my situation, my machine recover from a series of multiple BSODs, it was BSOD-free for almost a month. I soon realised that it was my powerbank charging on my second USB 3.0 port causing the problem. It was hilarious.

Then till yesterday, my plugged in an external hard disk into the SAME USB 3.0 port I mention above and installed the drivers from the external hard disk as usual when we plugged in new devices. Then hours after that, BSOD strike back. And then the next day, which is today, another BSOD strike.

Is there any clues on this? I'd made few system restore BEFORE it was plugged in. Will restoring to that date will solve the issue or make it worse?

Please do reply if any knows, thanks in advance!

tunnel.sys, NTFS.sys, fltmgr.sys and fileinfo.sys, when fail at once, it indicates to either an antivirus program acting ambitious, or a virus playing there.

Uninstall BitDefender, at least as a test. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.
Download, install and update those, and then run full system scans with both of them, one by one. Scan the system for possible virus infection, too.

The display driver is also failing.
    Code:

    Update your ATI/AMD display driver.
You can get it from the link in our forum, Latest AMD Catalyst Video Driver for Windows 7, or you may go to AMD Graphics Driver and Software and opt for Automatically Detect and Install the appropriate driver for your card.

During installation, you may opt for advanced installation, and install the display driver only, not the Catalyst Control Center. Have a look here, too: "0x0000003B" Stop error when you run certain applications in Windows 7 or in Windows Server 2008 R2 . Get and apply this hotfix.

Stress test the Graphics Card using Furmark.

    Do some disc checks, too.

    1. Update your SSD's Firmware
    2. Reseat the sata and power.
    3. Run chkdsk /f/r, following the option two of the tutorial Disk Check
    4. Seatool for dos: SeaTools | Seagate download
Burn it in a blank cd. boot from the CD, click on "Accept", wait for it to finish detecting the drives, then in the upper left corner select "Basic Tests", then select "Long Test" and let it run.

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.
How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+
Run memtest for at least 8 passes, preferably overnight.

The CPU is slightly overclocked, as visible.
    Code:
    CPUID: "Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz"
    MaxSpeed: 3400
    CurrentSpeed: 3410
As the system is crashing, better you get rid of all your overclocks. Set the CPU and GPU to default, let them run normal and observe the situation.

Your network driver is fairly backdated.
    Code:
Name [00000007] Atheros AR8151 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller (NDIS 6.20)
    Driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\l1c62x64.sys (2.0.4.4, 102.11 KB (104,560 bytes), 12/28/2012 10:30 PM)

Get the driver for AR8151 from the link ATHEROS Network drivers for Windows

Hamachi network interface is very old, too.
    Code:
    Name [00000012] Hamachi Network Interface
    Driver c:\windows\system32\drivers\hamachi.sys (7.0.1.1, 33.06 KB (33,856 bytes), 3/18/2009 4:35 PM)
    Update it, too.

All these motherboard provided junks are not only not needed, but also troublesome. Uninstall them.
    Code:
    Start Menu\Programs\GIGABYTE
    Start Menu\Programs\GIGABYTE\AutoGreen
Start Menu\Programs\GIGABYTE\ET6 : first run it, set everything to default, then uninstall it.
    Let us know the results.

Before I begin, I have few queries. I did not have any bsod until I plugged into that USB 3.0 port as I mentioned above. I would have probably think it is virus that caused my bsod since with all these old drivers before today's BSOD, I didn't get any problem.

Yet, I'm eager to know whether if I do a system restore and a full system scan will probably solve my problem?

I suggested all seeing your crash dumps .... those crash dumps are written by the computer itself. I haven't told anything myself, just interpreted your computer's words. Now, it is upto you whether you will follow the suggestions or not.

In neither of the dumps, I havent found anything so that the USB part can be blamed, whereas it is always clearly stated in the dumps in the appropriate situation.

Anything of hardware will not be touched at all via a system restore; and you have been suggested at least three hardware tests there. Also, a system restore will cause the buggy drivers even more buggy.

After running TDSSKiller, you may go for a clean install, for sure. Follow the guide to get a perfect reinstall: Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

If even after the clean reinstall with the latest drivers, the computer continue to crash, it will be easier to blame the hardware there.

    Hi Arc,

I have done pretty much few things you stated. I didn't encounter BSOD awhile after that then till today, it hit again.

I was wondering, will it be my Bitdefender causing it? By any chance?

If you get a BSOD ant us to debug it, post it following the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) Posting Instructions.

BitDefender causes BSODs, many a times.

Do you personally think it causes some of my BSODs since you had debugged my error few times?
