    Repeated BSOD Memory_Management

    I'm running into a lot of BSODs, so I tried switching out my hard drive then I changed my RAM, and finally reinstalled windows. Now I'm not sure what else to try.

    Hi,
    Please reconfigure windows to collect the correct info.
    You want small memory dumps - "MiniDumps"

    Dump Files - Configure Windows to Create on BSOD

    And here are the instructions for posting:

    No there is still quite a bit of info missing, it should look like this.
    Run the tool again and click "Grab All" and wait for each window to appear then click ok each time.

    Hi thanks for the info,
    Your crashes relate to Video drivers and DirectX:

    *******************************************************************************
    * *
    * Bugcheck Analysis *
    * *
    *******************************************************************************
    Use !analyze -v to get detailed debugging information.
    BugCheck 1000007E, {ffffffffc0000005, fffff88004820251, fffff88005a958f8, fffff88005a95150}
    Probably caused by : dxgmms1.sys
    STOP 0x0000007E: SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

    Usual causes: Insufficient disk space, Device driver, Video card, BIOS, Breakpoint with no debugger attached, Hardware incompatibility, Faulty system service, Memory, 3rd party remote control,
    Try reinstalling DirectX:

    Take memtest. Run for 8 passes and test each stick in a know good slot for an additional 6 passes.
    I know you have just changed your RAM but even new components can be faulty, just to eliminate.

    Update your ATI Video drivers to the latest (if available) (remove the Catalyst Control Center and only install the Display Driver)

    http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDSupportHub.aspx

    If the ones you have installed are the latest version, try rolling back your driver to the previous version.

    Run SFC to check the integrity of all Windows 7 system files:

    Click on the Start > Type in search cmd
    Right click cmd at top and Run as Administrator
    Type SFC /scannow at the prompt (note the space between SFC and /scannow)

    SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

    Also please Run chkdsk /f/r in an elevated command prompt.

    Again Click on the Start > Type in search cmd
    Right click cmd at top and Run as Administrator
    At the command prompt please type: chkdsk /f/r
    (Note: there is a space between chkdsk and /f/r)

    Post back any results / observations.

    I updated the graphics card and it continued to crash, but there's no blue screen now when it does. This was the result of the scan.

    Attachment 259693

    I scheduled a chksk /f/r scan, and it finished 100%

    I'm starting memtest tonight though.

    Thanks for the feedback.

    Try running the SFC from boot:

    SFC /SCANNOW : Run in Command Prompt at Boot

    cheers
