Hi nevica,
you are posting on different threads for same issue:
BSOD playing BF3
you should really stick to one thread as it can
get a tad confusing. :)
From your dump file:

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA (50)
Invalid system memory was referenced. This cannot be protected by try-except,
it must be protected by a Probe. Typically the address is just plain bad or it
is pointing at freed memory.
Usual causes: Defective hardware (particularly memory - but not just RAM), Faulty system service, Antivirus, Device driver, NTFS corruption, BIOS.
The analysis is inconclusive to a point.
Run Driver Verifier to scan for any corrupted drivers which may be causing problems, this program works by running various stress tests on drivers, in order to produce a BSOD which will locate the driver; run for least 24 hours:
Driver Verifier - Enable and Disable
Uninstall Total PC health from your system, as it will most likely do more harm than good, as Windows 7
does not require it.
Run SFC to check the integrity of all Windows 7 system files:
Click on the Start > Type in search cmd
Right click cmd at top and Run as Administrator
Type SFC /scannow at the prompt (note the space between SFC and /scannow)
https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/1538-sfc-scannow-command-system-file-checker.html
Run memtest. Run for 8 passes and test each stick in a know good slot for an additional 6 passes.

Ensure you have all the latest Windows Updates installed.
Post back any results / observations
Cheers
Dave
It looks like it's a hardware problem to me. It could have been an ESD event when I was installing an SSD.
Thanks for the information and I'll go through all of the tests.
Thanks,
Nevica
Hi,
I ran SFC \scannow and the message I got is in the attachment.
Basically it found errors which it couldn't fix and pointed me to a log file which I could open.
How do open this (CBS.log or equivalent) please.
Nevica
CBS.log is a file which is permanently locked by the system - so there's very little you can do with it directly.
The best way to deal with it is to copy the file to your desktop using Windows Explorer (or the command COPY C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log %userprofile%\desktop\CBS.log ) and then you can open it in a decent text viewer.
Notepad tends to get confused (and confusing) with files the size that the log can got to, so I recommend using Notepad++ (Google it) if you want to actually see what's in it - but it's hard going!
If you right-click on the copy, you can now select 'Send to..' > 'Compressed File' for uploading/attaching to your reply.
Hello,
I have just had lots of freezes playing BF3.
I restarted the computer, removed 'PC Total Health'. and ran CCleaner to clean up the registry. It is now running BF3 without freezing every game.
Anyway, I have zipped the CBS file and attached it.
Thanks for taking a look at it.

There are a number of problems in the SFC scan
They all relate to the basic NVidia drivers supplied with Windows 7 - and may have been erroneously removed by one of the NVidia driver updates.Code:Line 24439: 2013-03-06 19:28:12, Info CSI 00000303 [SR] Repairing 1 components Line 24440: 2013-03-06 19:28:12, Info CSI 00000304 [SR] Beginning Verify and Repair transaction Line 24441: 2013-03-06 19:28:12, Info CSI 00000305 [SR] Cannot repair member file [l:26{13}]"nvwgf2umx.dll" of nv_lh.inf, Version = 6.1.7600.16385, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_AMD64 (9), Culture neutral, VersionScope = 1 nonSxS, PublicKeyToken = {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}, Type = [l:24{12}]"driverUpdate", TypeName neutral, PublicKey neutral in the store, file is missing Line 24442: 2013-03-06 19:28:12, Info CSI 00000306 [SR] Cannot repair member file [l:24{12}]"nvwgf2um.dll" of nv_lh.inf, Version = 6.1.7600.16385, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_AMD64 (9), Culture neutral, VersionScope = 1 nonSxS, PublicKeyToken = {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}, Type = [l:24{12}]"driverUpdate", TypeName neutral, PublicKey neutral in the store, file is missing Line 24443: 2013-03-06 19:28:12, Info CSI 00000307 [SR] Cannot repair member file [l:22{11}]"nvd3dum.dll" of nv_lh.inf, Version = 6.1.7600.16385, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_AMD64 (9), Culture neutral, VersionScope = 1 nonSxS, PublicKeyToken = {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}, Type = [l:24{12}]"driverUpdate", TypeName neutral, PublicKey neutral in the store, file is missing Line 24444: 2013-03-06 19:28:12, Info CSI 00000308 [SR] Cannot repair member file [l:24{12}]"nvlddmkm.sys" of nv_lh.inf, Version = 6.1.7600.16385, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_AMD64 (9), Culture neutral, VersionScope = 1 nonSxS, PublicKeyToken = {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}, Type = [l:24{12}]"driverUpdate", TypeName neutral, PublicKey neutral in the store, file is missing Line 24445: 2013-03-06 19:28:12, Info CSI 00000309 [SR] Cannot repair member file [l:24{12}]"nvd3dumx.dll" of nv_lh.inf, Version = 6.1.7600.16385, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_AMD64 (9), Culture neutral, VersionScope = 1 nonSxS, PublicKeyToken = {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}, Type = [l:24{12}]"driverUpdate", TypeName neutral, PublicKey neutral in the store, file is missing Line 24446: 2013-03-06 19:28:12, Info CSI 0000030a [SR] Cannot repair member file [l:18{9}]"nv_LH.inf" of nv_lh.inf, Version = 6.1.7600.16385, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_AMD64 (9), Culture neutral, VersionScope = 1 nonSxS, PublicKeyToken = {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}, Type = [l:24{12}]"driverUpdate", TypeName neutral, PublicKey neutral in the store, file is missing Line 24447: 2013-03-06 19:28:12, Info CSI 0000030b [SR] Cannot repair member file [l:26{13}]"nvwgf2umx.dll" of nv_lh.inf, Version = 6.1.7600.16385, pA = PROCESSOR_ARCHITECTURE_AMD64 (9), Culture neutral, VersionScope = 1 nonSxS, PublicKeyToken = {l:8 b:31bf3856ad364e35}, Type = [l:24{12}]"driverUpdate", TypeName neutral, PublicKey neutral in the store, file is missing
It's too late to do anything tonight - I'll see what I can do tomorrow.
I don't quite understand - 'Nvidia drivers supplied with Win 7'? What do you mean please? Do you mean Nvidia drivers FOR Win 7. Surely, Microsoft don't supply Nvidia code in their software?
Nevica
Yes they do - about half the size of a Win7 installation consists of basic drivers for hardware - everything from the CPU to GPS add-ons and beyond.
If they didn't, then the hardware wouldn't function, and you'd have to work blind until the proper drivers were installed.
In many cases it's the simplest possible driver - just enough to get the hardware minimally functional (which in the case of Display drivers can mean getting a 800x640 display only).
If I remember right, someone once said that Win7 contains more driver sets than all previous versions of Windows combined.
I've uploaded a file - nvcaa.zip - to my SkyDrive at Noel's SkyDrive
Please download and save it.
Right-click on the saved file and select Extract all...
Change the target to C:\ and click on Extract
Close all windows (it would be a good idea to print these instructions!)
Now reboot to the Repair Environment - as soon as the machine restarts, start tapping F8 - this should bring up the Advanced Boot Menu, at the top of which should be the option 'Repair my Computer'
Pick that
You'll have to log in with your username and password.
Pick the option to use a Command Prompt
At the prompt type
DIR C:\nvcaa
hit the enter key - if you get a 'Not Found' error try
DIR D:\nvcaa
or
DIR E:\nvcaa
The drive letter in use when you find the folder will need to be substituted (for<drive>) into the following command...
XCOPY <drive>:\nvcaa <drive>:\windows\winsxs /y /i /s /v /h
(e.g.XCOPY P:\wfire P:\windows\winsxs /y /i /s /v /h )
run the command (it should take almost no time)and when the prompt returns, type
EXIT
and hit the Enter key to exit Command Prompt - reboot to Normal Mode Windows.
Now run SFC /SCANNOW in an Elevated Command Prompt
then reboot and upload the new CBS.log file to your SkyDrive Public folder, and post a new link
Also run a new MGADiag report, and post the result.
Great, thanks for the info.
Any idea why these files have been deleted. I think the problems started when I installed the latest Nvidia driver 314.07. But I might be wrong.
I don't know when I'll be able to do this. Perhaps in the next few days but I'll keep you posted.
