ok it froze on me while playing battlefield 3. i took a screen shot right after i had to force close BF3. i was listening to music as well and the sound got all messed up and the graphics on certain programs would display that pink artifact on it, other programs wouldn't even open they would just crash immediately.

Either the GPU or the motherboard is failing.

First replace the GPU. Use the onboard graphics; or if there is no onboard graphics use another GPU to test.

If all the same in those situations too, it is a failing mobo I doubt.

I dont really have a spare GPU to use, is there any other way i can check? Also i just ran 3d mark 11 and according to CPUID HWMonitor my gpu temperatures went as high as 66 C, could that be the cause of the BSoD? Also could my set up be the issue? Restricted airflow?

you may try removing the GPU and using an ordinary pencil eraser, clean the gold pin contacts making sure to blow away any eraser debris. do this away from the PC. then reinstall it and be sure the power connectors and card are fully seated. Test the system now. Then...

Run this test, it may take some hours to complete.

RAM (memory):
This will require memtest on a bootable CD or USB stick.

Yeah some RAM or slot is bad. If you get even 1 error, you can stop the test and proceed to the nest stick/slot in the test.

The settings are OK except for ECC Mode, disable that. Short for Error-Correcting Code memory, a type of memory that includes special circuitry for testing the accuracy of data as it passes in and out of memory. It is used mostly for servers and machines that must not fail, medical, scientific, etc.

I bought a new video card and im sending the memory back, and i have not ran into any other issues, from the looks of it the video card was on its way and the memory came messed up and the combination of the 2 was causing all these issues. Thank you so much for the help guys
