Try another card in your case and your card in someone else's case. That should tell you whether it is your hardware or card.

So, swapped in my friends card, didn't have any issues. Swapped mine back in, froze in five minutes. Most likely my graphics card, any tests I could do on it to make sure?

Unfortunately, his system didn't have a capable power supply to test my card.

What card was your friend's? As far as I know, what you did is the best test.

It was a radeon 5*** hd series, a little older than mine by all accounts, but the fact that it didn't fail when running things that were causing my system to lock up was somewhat telling. I went through all of the recent things that were causing lockups, attempting to replicate, without success. Within minutes of throwing my card back in I had a bluescreen kick in.

Going to be purchasing a card shortly but will be ready to return it should the problems not cease, outlook is pretty good after the tests with my friends card.

I think so too. The only thing better you could have done was put your card in your friend's computer. Then if your friend started BSOD, you would know. There is stil the PSU issue. If his card didn't pull the power yours does, It could possibly be that. But, more than likely, it looks like the card.

I've had two psu's with this one card, issues with both. And my current is more than capable, and pretty new. His computer didn't have the two extra connections my card needs to function.

New card is in with no issues so far, been 24 hours without a lockup, display driver crash or bluescreen.
