    BSOD during games and videos.

    Hi all!

Earlier today I had some serious trouble with my connection to the internet. After looking around for help from a friend's computer, I was told to try various things like flush my DNS, force a particular IP address in IPv4's properties, enable DHCP service in services.msc, and none of that worked. I uninstalled Comodo Firewall, and it connected immediately.

Before that, I'd only ever had like 1 BSOD, months and months ago.

    Today, I've had two. >_<

Because I'm housebound, my pc and connection to the net are my only real ways of interacting with the outside world. I hope I haven't done anything stupid that can't be fixed!

Thank you in advance for taking the time out of your day to try and help me with my issue! Time is valuable, moreso now than ever. If you can help me fix it, and have a paypal account, I'll chuck over a few quid to buy a beer or something. ^^

    Thanks again guys 'n' girls!

    Jay

PS. Attached, is the zip file containing all of the log files grabbed by the SF Diagnostic tool. If you need any more information or files, please don't hesitate to let me know, and I'll get what you need immediately. If you'd rather talk to me about it, add me on Skype. My name is Jason Brum, from Middlesex, UK. Cheers! ^_^

    Recommendations:
    Code:
Start Menu\Programs\avast! Free Antivirus	Public:Start Menu\Programs\avast! Free Antivirus	Public
    Start Menu\Programs\Spybot - Search & Destroy	Public:Start Menu\Programs\Spybot - Search & Destroy	Public
Avast! and Comodo antivirus are cause of BSOD's on some systems. Please remove them using their removal tool from here: Uninstallers (removal tools) for common antivirus software - ESET Knowledgebase

We recommended Microsoft Security Essentials from a strict BSOD perspective.

       Warning
Do not start the free trial of Malware Bytes; remember to deselect that option when prompted.

Run a full scan with both (separately) once downloaded, installed and updated.

Spybot is known to corrupt the system please uninstall it.

Use the System File Checker tool (SFC.exe) to determine which file is causing the issue, and then replace the file.

To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow.
    2. At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER: sfc /scannow
The sfc /scannow command scans all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with correct Microsoft versions.

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Check your hard drive(s) for errors by running chkdsk:

Number down items at start-up. Keep only your anti-virus, this also improves the time for logging into windows.
    • Click on the Start button
    • Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.
    • Select the “Startup” tab.
    • Deselect all items other than the antivirus.
    • Apply > OK
    • Accept then restart.

Scan your system with the following:

For monitoring the heat/celsius of the system, use Speccy or HWMonitor:

Make sure you have all windows updates installed. (not optional ones)

Reboot the system. Once the program is uninstalled, run sptd.sys uninstaller to remove the driver from your system.

As an alternative, many people recommend the use of Total Mounter or Magic ISO

The information about the "Boot Screen Analysis" contains the line

    Loading Dump File [C:\Users\Yusra\SysnativeBSODApps\032613-27643-01.dmp]
There's no user called Yusra. Are you sure you got my files?

Thanks for the recommendations to uninstall and replace Avast. I have done that and already have Malware Bytes. The scans came up clear.

Do you have any idea what directly caused the BSOD?

Thank you SO much for your help and support!

    You've got it wrong.

That's where the BSOD App is located, your dump file is the "032613-27643-01.dmp"

Update the thread when you have completed all steps until then I am afraid I cannot help you further.

So that code isn't from my machine? That makes sense then! ^^ I thought my computer had made a dump with someone else's folders.

The only reason I asked is because..

    "Loading Dump File [C:\Users\Yusra\SysnativeBSODApps\032613-27643-01.dmp]"

The name, Yusra - that's not on my system. Just a misunderstanding, is all. Thank you for your patience!

I've done all of the steps I could, but I'm not sure what you meant by

"DRIVER_BIN64 - The driver hasn't been added to the DRT as of this run".

I've googled it, and still have absolutely no idea what I'm meant to be doing with it.

I've updated the Realtek HD Audio drivers, as requested.

I've completely uninstalled Avast, using the cleaner provided.

Windows update hasn't worked on this system since day one, for some reason, same goes for Windows Firewall. It's like it doesn't exist on this system, hence why I installed Comodo. Big mistake. >_< It's gone now, thankfully.

I've done the checks with TDSSkiller and sfc, and both came back with no issues.

What do I need to do now, kind sir?

What about the rest of the drivers in red ??
You need to address these issues, especially daemon tools its a PITA recommend you uninstall it then run this tool to ensure you have removed the sptd.sys driver (if its gone the uninstall button will be greyed out and not clickable)

You need to understand when troubleshooting BSODs there is rarely a single step to take to solve the problem often we give recommendations after completing them if you get another blue screen upload the dumps and we move forward there is no direct cause in 95% of cases
Also the name you keep referring to is from her machine not yours its the path your dump file was loaded from on her HDD

Ooooooh! Oh god I'm so sorry! >_< I hate being the new guy.

I've done everything requested. Do I need to collect and zip the dump files again?

Again, sorry for the misunderstanding. I can't thank you guys and girls enough for the help. You guys are amazing for doing what you do free of charge.
