Here's the latest dump file. For whatever reason, I used to be able to go about a week before a string of BSOD's would hit then it would be fine again for awhile. Now it BSOD's atleast once a day it seems. Thanks for your continued efforts here.

Daemon Tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known BSOD causer. Uninstall the program at first. Then download SPTD standalone installer from Disk-Tools.com, and execute the downloaded file as guided below :

  • Double click to open it.
  • Click this button only:
  • 2012-12-13_224441.jpg
  • If it is grayed out, as in the picture, there is no more SPTD in your system, and you just close the window.
Uninstall these bloatware:
Code:
Start Menu\Programs\GIGABYTE
Start Menu\Programs\GIGABYTE\AutoGreen
Start Menu\Programs\GIGABYTE\ET6
Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto start with it, but the auto start programs often conflicts and causes various problems including BSODs.

  1. Click on the Start button
  2. Type “msconfig (without quotes), click the resulting link. It will open the System Configuration window.with the "general" tab selected.
    • Click the "startup" tab. Click "Disable all" > Apply > OK.
    • Click on "services" tab. Check the "Hide all Microsoft Services"; Click "Disable all" > Apply > OK
Now let us know the situation. Note that now your Antivirus is also disabled, which is kinda risky. But in the present situation, the testing is needed.

Ok, I'm going through the Realtek driver and I have an issue. It says that it has the newest up to date driver from 6/9/12. I included a screenshot as possibly I'm just not selecting the right one, but I can't find any other Realtek drivers to update. Also, should there be that many NVIDIA HD audio drivers??

You have to update the realtek network adapter driver, not the sound driver.

Expand network adapters, it will be there on the top.

And, I also have the same in sound devices .... four nvidia and one realtek. The realtek one works actually.

So this time let us remove it and see the situation. Get rid of intel rapid storage. First uninstall it from Control Panel > Programs and Features. Then Uninstall the driver from device manager.

  1. Right click on "my computer" icon and click "manage" on the context menu.
  2. It will open the "computer management" window.
  3. Select "Device Manager" in the left pane, It will list all the existing devices up.
  4. Expand "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers" by clicking on the triangle in front of it.
  5. Select one Intel device item under it, right click, uninstall.
  6. Continue the process for all Intel items under "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers"
  7. Now restart the computer. At restart, windows will auto configure the appropriate native system driver.
Let us know the results.

Well, I uninstalled the Intel RST back almost over a week ago and I haven't had a single BSOD since. But based upon the fact that I've gone for about a week without it BSODing before I'm not sure if its fixed.

Is there anything other than using Driver Verifier that I can use to make sure? Also, what exactly am I losing not having Intel RST? Thanks a ton for your help Arc, I really think that uninstalling it did the trick...

Without Intel RST, you will loss a mental satisfaction that you are using a great third party storage controller which is expected to control the storage efficiently (you already experienced how efficiently it does) and nothing more.

From the very beginning, your issue was Intel RST. So without the existence of RST, the system is supposed to run good, at least for the time being.

I would suggest you to not fix it when it is not broken :)

Arc,

No BSOD since uninstalling the driver. I can't say thank you enough for the time and patience you put into helping me with this. I likely would have had to send this off to get fixed with my limited time so you saved me a fair amount of cash. I'm not sure how this works, or if there's a fund for this site, but I'd love to throw some money your way to show my thanks. Seriously, can't say thanks enough bro. Let me know.
