Yes that's true. If you have a Lenovo backup disk you could use it. you would be reinstalling their bloatware though.

Okay so I completed a clean install which took all of 20 minutes. After completing all my backups and repair disks and updating all my drivers I ran a torrent download and it went through without a hitch, no blue screen or anything. Thanks all. Planning on doing this for my other laptops now, everything runs faster and cleaner. Thanks all for the help sorry for the huge delay.
