BSOD - Under no load - Error 0x00000109 Random times

    Hi Guys,

Ive been having a random BSOD episode lately and it seems to be getting more frequent!

I replaced the old 4Gb (2x2Gb) to 2x4GB RAM sticks a while ago to see if it was memory related, but the BSOD have continued.
I have also installed an OCZ Vertex 3 SSD to help speed up the system somewhat,
BSOD were happening randomly before the SSD upgrade (but very rare)

I can see not trigger for the BSOD to occur, today i turned the machine on... it ran for about 10 minutes just on the desktop (no software running other than normal startup stuff), and then when i woke it out of screensaver - Bam.. BSOD.

Computer is updated via windows update always, and i believe im running the latest BIOS version

    NO overclocking undertaken!

any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance for your help!

Attached: SF zip file as requested and also a dump from bluescreen view of ALL BSOD it found.

    - Do a memtest check. RAM - Test with Memtest86+
Pay attention to point #3, run it preferably 8 passes
If you mentioned you just replaced your RAM, then it could be your Motherboard

    Code:
    BugCheck 109, {a3a039d898a05816, b3b7465eeb1d276c, fffff800032003b0, 1}

*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for win32k.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for win32k.sys
    Probably caused by : memory_corruption

    Followup: memory_corruption

    Thanks for the reply!
I will run that test, but I did replace the RAM because I thought the memory was probably the issue!!

Ill see what that test says, but my gut is yelling me its time for a new PC!

    A little to add,

Ran the memtest over night and..... The computer was found OFF this morning!!

I don't know what happened, or why, but I'm now shopping for a new desktop....
I think it's the MOBO because the RAM is <8 months old.

The system is very old so I think she has had enough!

Thanks for your help, I was hoping it would be software related!

    Hi Cipley,

Could you tell me if the memtest application would cause the computer to turn off for any reason? (Is there a power management function built in to this software?)

I ran the test again overnight last night and again the computer was off this morning!
The machine is on a UPS so power failure is not possible,
I guess the power SUPPLY might be a problem, but i have left the machine running in Win7 overnight recently doing a backup to another machine on the network (Thankfully i've been vigilant with backups!)

I was wondering if this memtest program might be causing the shut down?

Thanks again greatly for your help! These forum are fantastic resources!
