If you use the "Copy" button in the bottom-left of the event window to copy the contents to the clipboard, and then paste them here, the results should contain the "Description" field which should be more useful than just the cryptic numbers.

Please go to ASUSTeK Computer Inc.-Support- download_item_mkt and check for BIOS/firmware updates applicable to your system. As this is an older motherboard and processor - don't be disappointed if there isn't a great deal of support for Win7

The OS version doesn't matter for the BIOS - BUT the way that you update the BIOS does matter.

If you update from a bootable floppy disk, then the OS isn't a part of the process (the floppy disk contains it's own OS that's compatible with the BIOS flashing utilities).

If you update from within Windows then you must use the appropriate OS version.
Since there is no Win7 version I wouldn't do it that way.

I would recommend flashing the BIOS by using a floppy disk. If your system doesn't have one, then I'd suggest buying/borrowing an external USB floppy disk as long as your system can boot from that device.

Beyond that, you might be able to make a bootable CD work - but that's way beyond my abilities.
