    Hi CBBARIL13

    Lets run a SFC /scannow .

Open up an Elevated Command Prompt. Click on button type CMD inside the Search programs and files . Right click on CMD under Programs(1) choose Run as administrator . On the User Access Control click on the Yes button. Command Prompt will open up to C:\Windows\System32>_ path.

Type in the command below inside the Command Prompt

    SFC /SCANNOW
    Press <ENTER>

If SFC /SCANNOW locates any corrupted files please upload the log file . Log file could be located C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

Once that is complete. Run chkdsk /F /R . Open the Elevated command prompt as you did for SFC /SCANNOW.

    Type in the command below

    CHKDSK /F /R
Press <ENTER> Press on the Y key on your keyboard when it will ask you to Schedule a restart. Manually restart the PC.

    Added:

If you have a webcam . Uninstall the software and reinstall it.

    Thanks.

I ran the scan, nothing was found.
I ran the checkdisc. Left the room and came back so not sure of results, is there a way to find out?

I may have a guess as to the problem. Both times I got blue screen today i had just hit the "send" button on Outlook (I send hundreds of emails a day, but it only happened two times). I started in safe mode and started Outlook and received error stating "cannot verify license for application. Repair attempt failed or was cancelled by user". Also, this morning, I believe before first blue screen my outlook was having problems, froze up, and it took several attempts and reboots to get it to open. I did a quick search on the outlook error and looks like maybe a problem with the certificate. This computer was purchased early Jan this year. I believe it came with a trial version of Outlook, but i purchased full 2010 version and installed. Before i did that, I took full version of Office from my husbands new computer and tried to install on mine and of course didn't work (thus i bought full version myself). So i'm wondering if that has something to do with it...the registration of it.

Any ideas how to check/fix that? I supposed I could run software and see if it will repair.

    Thoughts?

For the chkdsk log take a look at the link below

Check Disk (chkdsk) - Read Event Viewer Log

For the Outlook issue . Try a repair

Click button > Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features.
Click the Office program you want to repair, and then click Change.
In Office 2010, click Repair > Continue.

Well i updated product key in Office and that didn't work.

Got another freeze today - not a blue screen, just my whole screen is jumbled and frozen, have to shut down.

I removed the webcam as suggested. Just did that so I'll see if i get another blue screen or freeze up later today.

    Any other ideas?

Do you have any USB video devices attached? If so, disconnect them and see if that helps.
Also, please uninstall any software related to the USB video device. Then download a fresh copy and install it.

    Code:
    AODDriver2.sys Thu Apr 5 15:23:31 2012 (4F7D6493)
AMD Overdrive; also in EasyTune6 for Gigabyte motherboard. Known BSOD issues in Win7
AMD OverDrive (AODDriver2.sys) is either a stand-alone application, or a component of the AMD VISION Engine Control Center. This driver is known to cause BSOD's on some Win7 systems.
Please uninstall all AMD/ATI video stuff from Control Panel...Programs...Uninstall a program
Then, download (but DO NOT install) a fresh copy of the ATI drivers from Global Provider of Innovative Graphics, Processors and Media Solutions | AMD (in the upper right corner of the page)
Use this procedure to install the DRIVER ONLY: ATI video cards - DRIVER ONLY installation procedure

If the device (AODDriver or AODDriver4.01) remains a problem, open Device Manager, select the "View" item.
Then select "Show hidden devices" and scroll down to the Non-Plug and Play Drivers section.
Locate the AODDriver entry, right click on it and select "Uninstall". Reboot for changes to take affect.
Sometimes the driver remains and continues to cause BSOD's.
    • Keep less stuff at the start-up. Only anti-virus, this helps avoid driver conflicts and improves time to log in to windows.

Ok, so i want to be sure I remove the correct things. Here is a list of what i have in programs. Should i be deleting the "AMD Catalyst Install Manager" and "AMD Quick Stream" ? or is there something else? i'm not sure what the "video stuff" is. Thanks:
