Oddity after updating Bios. Cannot install 7 to SSD

ok its more for a friend atm whos restricte dto a cell for skype.

she's tried everything (going back to F7 from F7afor her motherboard) loading drivers at install reformatting the SSD , secure erase etc.

whats going on even after it will see the drive partition etc fdisk it and have you not. installer makes some changes and after that Pfft Nada. and its also not seeing her Sata HDD's. she's tried everything i have no clue what sgoing on (and trying to help her in what i could find has come across like an insult which kinda sad (she's a great friend and i mean no harm )

i've never Owned an SSD so im dead clueless whats going on

what i know (i belive) her board is an Gigabyte 990FXA-UD5 (or UD3) on Bios F7 revisioin and this was working just fine before this. i know im lacking information but any insight what could be the matter would be helpfull as even Sata Mechanical Drives are also "invisible" on AHCI mode. :/

Hi Cael

If your friend has this Gigabyte 990FXA-UD5 and can't see the SSD hard drive during the installation .

Take a look at the link below

AMD SATA AHCI Driver (Preinstall driver, press F6 during Windows* setup to read from floppy) below
